Most small companies choose to market and advertise online. To them it's much easier and cost effective to target a specific audience over the internet, then using TV or radio. The reason it is more targeted is because companies only pay for advertising when their ad is clicked or when an actual purchase is made. Obviously if there ad is clicked that represents a genuine interest in their products.

As with any new business, the harder you work and the more forms you fill out and more you will make. To say you'll make a thousand in the first day, well I doubt it, but many have made money within a couple of hours and hundreds within weeks and thousands per week within a month. Again it depends on how hard you work and number of forms filled out.
