If you're in marketing but you haven't learned about the Internet as a market, you're behind the times and you need to learn about it. If you don't know about Internet marketing now, and you don't start learning about it right away, you'll be missing out on a lot of money now and maybe even more money in the future.

Here are 10 reasons why you should bone up on your skills in Internet marketing if you haven't already.

1) THE INTERNET IS HERE TO STAY. The Internet is not some flash in the pan. It's THEE wave to ride in the 21st century. Every single year sees great leaps in the amount of Internet traffic and the amount of information, including business and product marketing information, placed on the Web. Wake up to this reality and use it or lose out.

2) ONLINE MARKETING IS CHEAP. If you're trying to run a bricks-and-mortar-housed business and you're still making major use of paper or mail-out CDs, you may be having some success but you'll never, ever get the ROI that you can from Internet marketing. Your clients are web surfers. Your prospects are, too. Why lay out all that cash when for what amounts to pennies a day you can reach more people and do it faster?
