Who isn't familiar with the Network Marketing Business Model? Most people knew at least one or two Avon reps in their hometown while they were growing up, or their mom was the Tupperware lady. I tried on my very first makeup at at Mary Kay party. Today, my office is full of Pampered Chef and Home and Garden Party catalogues.
While I flip through the catalogues at my office, I always wonder, "How is Direct Sales working out for these people?" Is the Mary Kay Consultant one recruit away from her free car? Is the Pampered Chef Representative rolling in dough, or wishing he hadn't gotten involved?
Before technology got involved, there was only one way to succeed at network marketing. The marketer had to be a born salesperson, outspoken, loud, continually on the lookout for new prospects. The very nature of the business demanded it. For that reason, many have either not tried multilevel marketing, or tried it but quickly gave up.
Everyone likes the idea of earning money from home, and everyone likes to think about being the boss of their own business, who can decide on their own schedule and earnings. These things are possible through network marketing, but many don't even know it. What a shame that the good features associated with mlm companies are hidden by stigmas from the past!
MLM can be a wonderful source of residual income, if it is gone about from the right angle. It doesn't have to take a pushy, stereotypical salesperson anymore, either. Advances in technology have opened up new ways to market business opportunities and products that are unrecognizable from past tactics.
Internet marketing is a wonderful breakthrough for network marketers. Rather than pursuing prospects, they can now attract them, using informative web content, e-newsletters and on-going trainings. It is a mutually beneficial relationship, because the marketer is providing the prospect with things that he or she is already interested in or in need of. Additionally, Marketers can now reach larger and more diverse groups that never would have been possible to reach in the days before the Internet.
That's quite a contrast to the old-fashioned mlm tatics of prospecting in your neighborhood, your church and your grocery store. Those are limited markets, destined to lead your business to a dead end.
The Internet creates a global market with an endless stream of prospects and income potential. Distributors do not have to spend their time chasing down prospects and pestering their friends with this new mode of network marketing, because they are attracting leads who are already interested. The Internet is geared toward seekers. That's why you will see a "search" engine box on nearly every page on the Internet. Those who find your home based business on the web will do so because it is the answer they have been searching for!
Attraction marketing makes the marketer a sought-after commodity. No more blind pursuit, no more endless warming up of indifferent leads. With attraction marketing, the work is almost done by the time you begin contact with leads. You can choose the most highly qualified to work with, and yes, you decide how much money you earn. After it's begun, this state of being pursued perpetuates itself. Everyone wants to wear the most popular labels. It's written into the Law of Attraction.
Additionally, modern network marketers are able to make money while they establish their businesses by selling advertising space on their website or by linking with a separate company to promote their products for commission. You need not pay for advertising in the beginning, because there are numerous avenues for free advertising, such as YouTube and Ezine Articles. The business pays for itself, and the consultants are not desperate or discouraged.
That's a long way from the indignity associated with Direct Sales in our mothers' day. Network marketers today have established themselves as valuable commodities, experts in their respective fields, and they have utilitized the Internet to build profitable businesses and substantial income! Take off the preconceived notions and take a second look at multilevel marketing.
