Persuade Your Way to Success

By Healthy Wealthy nWise

Dave Lakhani is a talented speaker, author and trainer. His areas of expertise are marketing and business strategy. Dave has been featured in several magazines including "Selling Power", "Sales and Marketing Management", "Entrepreneur", "Business Solutions", "Retail Systems Reseller", "Integrated Solutions", "Home Office Computing", and "PC Magazine".

Aside from magazines, Dave Lakhani has written a number one bestselling book called "Persuasion - The Art of Getting What You Want", and he has been featured in both radio and television programs. Dave is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and he has studied other leading sales leaders like Jay Abraham and Zig Ziglar.

Dave's training techniques have been used to boost some very big names including IBM, the U.S. Army, Rogers Media, Micron, GE and Wizard Academy. He didn't start in marketing, though. In fact, Dave Lakhani was raised in a cult called the Branhamites, and has since left to do a lot of different types of jobs.

Shortly after leaving the cult, Dave Lakhani was a cowboy and then a professional fighter. Later in the 80's, he took a law enforcement position as an undercover drug cop. None of those jobs satisfied him. It wasn't until he started helping people become persuasive that he discovered his true passion.

Dave discovered something that many people discover after finding their passion: work no longer seems like work, and the money seems to roll in on its own. After leaving the cult, Dave spent every day studying in The Andrew Carnegie Library to try to understand why his mother would choose to raise him in that environment. What he learned was much more about the art of persuasion and how it can be applied to sales instead.

Dave Lakhani's definition of persuasion is "helping people come to their own most logical conclusion, which also happens to be one you share". Persuasion isn't the same thing as manipulation or coercion. With persuasion, you're helping people make a decision by presenting them with information. With manipulation, your intent is to lie, misdirect, or confuse.

Manipulation isn't necessary when you find a passion you truly love. The passion becomes something infectious. People see what your goals are, and your enthusiasm builds rapport. They rest assured that you have their best interest at heart because they see the fire burning within you.

Whether you're looking for a soul mate or trying to sell a car, persuasion is something that each of us use to some extent each day. It's an important skill to hone if you want to see phenomenal success in your life. Learn how to persuade people honestly, and get what you want!
