How Do You Find Solid Business Opportunity Leads

By Myles Krueger

If you want to get good leads then you need to do your research and be patient. People fall in love with lead generation companies for silly reasons such as gimmicky sales tactics, crazy promises, or dirt cheap prices. It usually is a pile of junk most of the time.

Some leads you contact can be just as good as opening up a phone book and starting from A and going through Z. This is rough because soon you start to get depressed and question whether or not you are talented enough to sell.

It can get so bad to the point where you feel better if they don't pick up the phone then if they do pick up the phone. This shouldn't happen ever.

You have to know who it is you are buying a lead from so see if you can talk with reliable people in the company that can give you solid information about the company. See if you can talk with other clients that have had good experiences and pick their brains to see if it is worth your time.

Look to get honest opinions from other places like public or government figures that are authoritative sources on your potential company. You should look to the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General of the state they are from to figure out if they are trustworthy.

One thing to remember is just because you don't sell a lead, doesn't mean you can't sell them later down the road. You can always sell someone if you build a strong enough relationship and brand with them.

It might be smart to look at marketing to leads other than just by the phone call to them. Look at giving them emails or free products that can help them get to know you and build trust with them over a period of time. People have to hit a boiling point before they will buy from you.

So remember to do your research on the leads and find out if your leads are being called over and over again. Also remember if they did fill out the form then they are interested and it just comes down to you building a relationship with them over time and see if you can send them products or emails to build that relationship.
