The Top 5 Reasons People Are Attracted To The Home Biz Industry

By Bob Matthews

Do you really need someone to tell you the benefits of working from home? Ever since you attended elementary school, you knew that a day at home was better than a day at school. Summer break, anyone? Or perhaps you were a "sick day" celebrator--remember how Mom made you chicken noodle soup and let you watch T.V. all day? You thought you were really getting away with something.

Now your adult fantasy is to return in some ways to carefree yet secure home days as when you were young. Here are my five reasons to work from home--see with how many you agree.

* You're the boss! You can take sick days, weekdays, vacation days, rainy days, and any-kind-you-feel-like-it days off. You can also work really hard, so be careful not to overdo it. Note: You're overdoing it if your family has to call the police to find you.

* Spend more time with those you love. Are you a pet lover? Perhaps you have a passion for dogs and exercise, and the perfect one-hour lunch to you (and your best friends) is a long walk through the park. Or maybe you're a mom who wants to spend more time with her children. These are all great things, but unfortunately time is a fixed quantity, so you can't increase or diminish it. But you can spend less time on the things you least like and more time on the things you do like.

* More income. Do you remember how your friend shot you a sidelong look of condemnation and envy when you declared that you were going to buy the $500 Dolce & Gabbana bag you were holding? Ha! Boy, if looks could kill, you'd be under now. But really, that was part of the fun, right?

* More freedom to choose what you want. When's the last time you spent two fun-filled weeks in a luxury bungalow in Tahiti? Okay, so when's the last time you drove your kiddies to the nearest theme park for the day? When you work from home, you set your own schedule. Maybe you've have a lifelong ambition to run a marathon. Or perhaps you want to add a room onto your house.

* Love your career. When you enjoy doing what you do, you feel real satisfaction. You have tangible energy and tenacity. Your mindset exudes invincibility which is vital to your success, for in the home business sector, there is no boss looking over your shoulder, making sure that you complete your stuff for the day. No, you have to become that taskmaster, that motivator, and that worker--all in one. Ninety percent of your home business success depends upon how strong you are or become as a person. Grow your mind, grow your bank account.
