"You don't need to own anything to feel abundant; although if you feel abundant consistently, things will almost certainly come to you. Abundance comes only to those who already have it. It sounds almost unfair -- but of course it isn't, it is a Universal Law. Both abundance and scarcity are inner states that manifest as your reality." -- Eckhart Tolle
Does this quote from Eckhart Tolle have anything to do with becoming a successful Internet marketer? Absolutely! You may feel that I'm starting to get all too Spiritual/Mystical, but just hear me out and you can decide for yourself. In reality, developing a successful Internet Marketing business is going to prove to be more art than a science. Most that attempt to do so find themselves developing a host of new skills (or "retrofitting" skills developed off-line) because in the beginning they usually lack the money needed to out-source. It is normal for this process to take some time, sustained effort, and especially a lot of patience as you're sure to make some blunders. Your attitude in this process becomes a critical component.
I personally believe that most people fail " or quit " as Internet Marketers before they even get started. Thanks to the way business opportunities are usually marketed on the Internet, virtually everyone that tries their hand at Internet Marketing starts out with unreal expectations. Don't get me wrong; you can -- and will (if you stick with it) -- make a lot of money, perhaps even get wealthy through your Internet Business. But you're NOT going to do that by signing up with some program and doing nothing. Soon most beginners discover that all the hype they bought into was just that: hype. At this point they either quit (and tell themselves -- and anyone else that will listen -- it was all a scam), or they have a BIG desire for success and they dig in and learn what they need to do . . . and begin to take action on it.
Successful Internet Marketers have nurtured a mind-set of abundance; an expectation of success. This business requires creativity, resolve and the ability to roll-with-the-punches -- qualities that a negative, stressed-out attitude is sure to thwart. It is also important to develop associations and joint business ventures with other Internet Marketers as an integral part of growing a successful Online business. Successful Business Professionals -- on the Internet or off -- do not want to associate with negative people. Having an Abundant Attitude coupled with an Expectation of Success is critical to experiencing Success Online (as well as "off-line").
