Branding Your Website Branding before Web Design

By Matthew Henage

Not Many Know What Branding Is

Very few people understand the power of branding, let alone understand what a brand is all about. A golden opportunity is available because of this confusion, because it is an extra lead on your competition. Branding is not about having your business being known around world, nor is it creating a logo and tag line. Although your logo and tagline are important methods of displaying a brand image and finding world fame usually results from well planned and executed branding, they are not branding.

Your Definition of Branding

To make things simple, branding is making your company image communicate preplanned characteristics. Meaning, giving evidence to your customer audience about who you are and what you stand for. If your business image attracts more sales for you business, you have a good brand, but if your company image pushes away your customers you have a bad brand.

Branding is Important

Your business will be judged by the way it presents itself. And if you don't take the time to figure out how to present your brand image appropriately, you may end up with a dissatisfied audience. Don't leave these things up to chance, take the time to establish what your brand image will be and how you will portray it.

Having Your Website Display Your Brand

Because branding is about building trust with your customers, it is vital that you keep that trust. If you want your audience to believe that customer care is important to you, then customer care is a must for your company. The more consistent you are with your brand, the more your audience will believe you. The better they believe in the qualities of your business, the more likely they will purchase your products and services.

Your website might be the only interaction that your customers will receive from your company. For this reason, branding is just that more crucial for your website. Make your visitors feel like they are dealing with a human instead of an online document will help them to identify with your company better.
