Marketing Tool: Business Cards

We at Printer Bees ensure that we give the best customer service and products for business printing. We offer assistance to all our clients and pay close attention to the queries that we receive. This will help us understand their needs and their questions too. One of the top most frequently asked question is related to business card printing. People are more concerned about getting the best design and output for their business cards and reflecting on it. It completely makes sense.

My first set of business cards, came from Everex Systems, Inc, the company I began working at when I was only 18 years of age. It was my first real job and when I saw my name imprinted on those cards, I must have truly been glowing as Im sure you were when you got your first set of business cards. You don't have to keep writing your name on scratch paper. Now that you have a business card, it can make you feel more important and professional.

Business cards reflect your personality and your business. It is necessary to carefully plan the design, and overall quality of your business cards. This is one of the most important marketing tool to promote your services and your business.

Does your business card show you are a professional and take your profession serious? Does your business card have the logo of another company on it because you got them for free? (yes, I mean Vista Print! Why are you advertising someone elses online printing business when after you pay for shipping and handling, you could have simply purchased your business cards somewhere else for the same total price?)

Analyze your business card. Does your business card show you as vibrant and energetic or is your business card show you as the more formal type with just simple and bland designs on it?

Have your printed your own business cards before on an Avery business card and end up looking unprofessional? Or maybe you have received a business card that was printed on copy paper and was unevenly cut. Do you think this is effective? Seriously?

Does your business card have so many phone numbers on it that people arent sure where the heck to find you and so they end up having to call your Office, Cell, Home Office, Home or possibly your assistant to simply leave you a message? Is your fax number listed as and e-fax because you use electronic fax technology and for some reason need to brag about it and confuse the heck out of people who think they too need to have an efax to fax you?

If you have a headshot on your business card, is it your high school graduation photo, a headshot that was taken like 10+ years ago or the ever so popular glamour shot that people look at trying to figure out why you have someone elses headshot on your business card because it looks absolutely nothing like you? Or better yet, the photo shows off your mullet from decades ago. I think Billy Ray Cyrus is the only person that can pull that one off without being cited! Is your headshot a bad quality image that looks really pixilated on your business card because you refuse to update your headshot until you loose the 10-15 lbs. you put on like 10 years ago and still havent gotten rid of?

Is your company logo pretty much the same as your pixilated headshot? Just a poor quality image that needs to be recreated by a graphics design artist in Adobe Illustrator so it is a vector image that can be blown up to billboard size without compromising image quality? Are you utilizing the backside of your business card for a marketing message that may be meaningful to prospects?

Business cards are very small spaces for marketing. You will have to effectively utilize the entire space for your business and marketing needs.

What are the information that needs to be on your business card?

If you take your profession or business seriously, it is important that your business cards are done professionally. If you don't have the skills to do graphic design, you can have it professionally done by a graphic designer. For as low as $49 (plus shipping and tax), you can get 1000 color business cards at http://PrinterBees.com. Ready-made templates are available at our website at: www.printerbees.com. You will even find a video tutorial that will help you with the process.

Your contact information for sure. But not every phone/fax number that you can possibly be reached at. It makes you look way too accessible, which shows desperation. Do doctors put their home numbers, cell phone numbers or for that matter their direct office lines on their business cards? NOT A CHANCE and you shouldnt either. In this day and age, You should have ONE phone number, and one fax number. I myself have one number for both. With companies like Ring Central (there are tons of them out there, this is just the one we use) you can have one number for both phone and fax, AND the phone rings wherever you direct it to via the Internet. It can ring on your cell phone, your office phone, your home office phone, at your assistants desk or all of them at the same time. Leaves your business card looking clean, professional and not so accessible. There is no reason that your clients should be calling you AT HOME during the time that you have set aside for spending with your family. That is nothing short of ridiculous and in my mind a total invasion of your privacy and home. I work in my home office 90% of the time, and none of my clients have my home number. Business is business and it should stay that way for the health of your family relationships and to preserve the sanctity of your home.

To make it easier for people to remember who you are. Make sure that you use an updated head shot. Avoid using photos from years back. Use your realistic photos and not the glamour ones.

At PrinterBees, the cost for adding something to the backside of your card is VERY MINIMAL. Check our webpage about Color Business Cards now for more information. You can use the backside of your business card to help the people remember your business and the services you offer. You can put in your services, logo or web address.
