There are vitamins that are commonly heard of, and there are also supplements that are not as familiar,which also ensure health. Vitamins such as A, B, C and D are commonly found in things like milk and orange juice however most people do not get enough of them each day.

This means their bodies do not have what they need to stay healthy and along with these vitamins there are also other supplements that help to ensure the body has what it needs like essential fatty acid and enzymes.

Deficiency of this vitamin may cause rickets, liver and kidney diseases. Fish oils, cod liver oils are the best sources of Vitamin D. Therefore, seafood eaters won't have to worry about this deficiency.

This group recommends the DASH diet as a beneficial eating plan for people with hypertension and for those with "pre-hypertension" who desire to prevent high blood pressure.

An overdose of magnesium might result in paralysis of the respiratory system and severe low blood pressure. The heart and nervous system might be affected; profuse sweating, hypothermia, etc might be the reactions of excess of magnesium.

Another common cause of ADHD symptoms in children is overdosing of sugar. With all the snack-like breakfast cereals available and the high sugar-constant treats, hyperactivity should be expected. Research done throughout the world shows that the United States RDA for Magnesium is not sufficient to make up for the amount lost in bowel movements and sweat. Aggravating matters more, sports, physical work, mental exertion, competition or other stresses, all increase your magnesium requirements.

In a study of older adults, a greater magnesium intake maintained bone mineral density to a greater degree than a lower magnesium intake. Diets with recommended levels of magnesium are beneficial for bone health, but further investigation on the exact role of magnesium in bone metabolism and osteoporosis is needed.
