Find A New Marketing Partner With Promotional Merchandise

By Alexander Calvin

You may have several different motivations for choosing to include promotional gifts as part of your marketing plan. You may be introducing a new product, or thanking customers for support, or even motivating your staff. Whatever the reason, you can't go wrong with promotional merchandise as gifts. Tradeshows are likely the best venues to distribute the gifts in large quantities. There they are always well received by the audiences.

Once you've decided to purchase corporate gifts, the next step is deciding what type to choose. Many factors may be considered including your industry, your location, your clientele, or your marketing purpose. The most important determinant should be usability. Usable items will get used. Period. If it has no usable function, it will likely be tossed aside and your marketing dollars will be wasted.

Consider distributing promotional pens, the most widely used promotional item that you can ever come across. Attractive and affordable, promotional pens are available in an overwhelming range of design, style, quality, standard to fit each and every target segment that you have.

If you are planning to make your promotional marketing endeavor more innovative, you may consider delivering promotional mouse mats. Not as common as promotional pens, mouse mats too can serve as an excellent tool for brand awareness. In fact, promotional mouse mats have a number of advantages over pens. First, mouse mats are bigger enough to display your marketing message in a much more visible way than a pen. Secondly, mouse mats are more target oriented than pens. You can distribute promotional pens to everyone but not mouse mats. Your customers will even prefer to have a mouse mat to promotional pens, which they already have in plenty.

Whatever promotional item you distribute, prudence is a must. A great idea is to step into your clients boots to see what he likes. You cannot afford to distribute mouse mats to someone who does not have a computer in his office or spends greater part of his day in the field or a promotional pen to someone who works with machinery. The whole idea behind promotional items is to make your customers feel that you care for them and its their duty to give you return business.
