What Did My Great Grandma Have To Do With Affiliate Marketing?

By Alexander Bee

My Great Grandmother, Mathilda, arrived in California in 1850 with her parents and three older brothers. She was only 17 years old. Her family was among the estimated 300,000 Americans and foreigners who came to the Western state in search of gold.

The story that was passed through generations in my family insists that Mathilda, without any help, found one of the richest gold fields in Sierra Nevada. There is another story about her scandalous love affair with a handsome yet married man, who subsequently fathered my great grandfather. But we'll talk about that some other time.

I'm sure you understand by now that Mathilda was an exceptional woman. The enormous fortune she had obtained in 1852 in California, was totally lost by her grandson, my grandfather, in 1929 in New York, when the stock market crashed. Fortunately, she had died 9 years earlier and was spared the disaster.

"Why are you telling me your family's history?" I can almost hear you asking me now, "What does your grandmother have to do with affiliate marketing?" You'll know soon, my friend. Don't lose your patience.

An estimated 300,000 people, man, women and children, went to California in the middle of the 19th century, in search of fortunes. Only few of them discovered gold and became rich. Those were the ones who did not miss on the opportunity when it presented itself to them; then, they were blessed with the guts to take chances on the road to realize their dreams; and finally, they acquired the knowledge and the tools to achieve their goal. My great grandmother, Mathilda, was amongst them. She left us a great legacy: "He who dares - conquers."

This, my friend, is it. Internet affiliate marketing is the Gold Rush of the 21st century. Don't miss your chance to be one of the few. Seize the opportunity now, before it's too late. If you want to realize your hope to find gold, have courage, get the knowledge and the tools, and go after it!

The Internet is already very developed and overwhelming, but it is still so very young. It is now as the West has been in the 1850's, paved with hidden gold. But today you don't need a pan and a shovel and you don't need to invest hard physical work, you can sit on the sofa with your laptop on your lap. Only the gold is still the same glittering gold. Anybody can find it, you too.

Now is the time. Don't wake up 5 or 10 years from now regretting your failure to spot the occasion on time. Don't forget Mathilda: "She who dares - conquers."
